WILDNorth is looking for a new home—and we need your help!
Established in 1989, WILDNorth moved to its present locations in 2010. Our Wildlife Hospital in Edmonton is provided by the City of Edmonton, while we currently rent our Rehabilitation Centre property in Parkland County from the Nature Conservancy of Canada. We have enjoyed a great relationship with our gracious partners, but we are outgrowing our current facilities.
In 2010, we admitted approximately 1,100 wildlife patients into our care. Today, that number has more than tripled—we now care for around 3,500 injured and orphaned wild animals annually! Due to capacity issues, we are searching for a new location that can accommodate this volume and the necessary infrastructure to support our growth. As we plan to amalgamate our two facilities, we are seeking 10+ acres in or near Edmonton. Still in the early stages of our search, we are exploring all possibilities, including land purchases (which may offer tax benefits when dealing with a registered charity), long-term leases, and naming opportunities.
If you or someone you know has property that meets these criteria, please reach out. The community—and our wild neighbors—would greatly appreciate your support!
