Position: WILDKids Summer Camp Counsellor/Administrator 

Time Period: Summer         Number of Positions Available: 1 

Hours: 30-40 Hours/Week          Commitment: 8 weeks 

TermJune 24 – August 18 

**MUST be available for 40 hours/week during the following weeks: 

July 8-12 (overnight on July 11); July 15-19 (overnight on July 18); July 29-August 2 (no overnight); August 12-16 (overnight on August 15)

WILDNorth is seeking an enthusiastic person who loves wildlife, the outdoors, has a strong desire to learn, and work well independently and with a team, to assist us in teaching the next generation about the importance of wildlife in the community! 

WILDNorth is looking for a summer employee to assist with the WILDAdventures Program by organizing and running the WILDNorth Summer Camps in 2019. 


  • Help plan and design engaging programming and activities for WILDNorth Summer Camps for youth from 7-12 years old 
  • Supervise camp volunteers and interns  
  • Coordinate with facilities, vendors, etc. as required 
  • Help children to have a positive and enriching experience at camp, assist with activities and lead games 

Personal Qualities: Dedicated individual who is committed to providing quality educational experiences and outdoor activities to youth 

Qualifications and Requirements:
1) Police Information Check including Vulnerable Persons prior to start date
2) Experience with children
3) Experience with outdoor activities (camping, hiking, building fires, etc.)
4) Understanding of WILDNorth programs and services 

1) First Aid
2) Childcare Certification
3) Experience with running/instructing children’s camps
4) Knowledgeable in science and nature topics (i.e. Wildlife Identification)
5) Access to a vehicle highly recommended

Reports to: WILDEd Manager 

Age Requirement: Must be at minimum 18 years of age, and due to this position being funded by Canada Summer Jobs, applicants must be 30 years of age or younger.
