COVID-19 and WILDNorth Update:
Public health and staff health are a top priority, but we also feel a strong obligation to continue our service for wildlife.
With information from The International Wildlife Rehabilitation Council we have come up with new safety guidelines when it comes to admitting wildlife during this pandemic.
Wildlife are being admitted by appointment only. Please call the Wildlife Helpline at 780-914-4118 to discuss the animal you are concerned about. We are monitoring the helpline remotely, please leave a detailed voicemail and we will get back to you!
Please contain the animal in a box that you do not need back. When you come to our hospital, put the box down at our front door, step back at least 6 feet, and we will take the contained animal and bring it inside. We will fill out the paperwork on your behalf and you can now leave.
Please let us know if you:
– are supposed to be self-isolating
– are not feeling well
– have come into contact with someone who tested positive for COVID-19
Thank you for your cooperation with this! Let’s do what we can to keep each other, and our wild neighbours, safe.
